The Process.

...overlooking 'Moel Famau' - the tallest peak of the Clwydian range here in North Wales - I use the finest yarns I can source and gently hand dye each one with thought and care, using natural botanical ingredients to create colours that truly reflect the natural landscape and changing seasons.

The Yarn.

...I enjoy working with a variety of wool and yarns. They all have their uses, I choose each one for its specific character and charm.

The Dye.

...I always use natural dyes, mostly G.O.T.S certified extracts, but also make use of vegetable matter, foliage, barks and blooms -  found and foraged from the kitchen, my garden, the hills, the fields...

Natural dyes captivate, they produce the most cohesive, beautiful colour. They are naturally variable and this is what makes the results so desirable-the skein you buy will be completely unique to the specific dyestuff, when it was harvested and how it was applied. Natural colours age with charm.

That is beauty.

Treat your yarn gently by hand washing and dry flat, avoiding prolonged exposure to strong sunlight.

Me.

...this is my art. I love every step, every process. I hope this is reflected in my website, my pictures & my products. And most of all, I hope you find joy in it too.
